Our bassoon/oboe teacher Shengbo Zhao won the Silver Prize at the 1st Jinbao National Woodwind Competition in China in 2019. In 2020, he performed commercially with the Tianjin Song and Dance Theater Orchestra. In 2023, he received admission offers from the Royal Academy of Music in the UK, was awarded a scholarship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and received the highest woodwind scholarship from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In the same year, he was also awarded the highest woodwind scholarship from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and was admitted to its undergraduate program.
