The French Horn teacher and player:
Joshua Chang, a seasoned French horn teacher and player, has experienced many performances and nurtured many students. He studied with Professor Yan-Hao Cehn at the Taipei University of the Arts. He took courses from various French horn masters, such as Radek Baborak (former principal horn of the Berlin Philharmonic), Howard Wall (former low horn player in the New York Philharmonic), Andrew Bain (horn professor at the Colburn School), and the German Hor Sound. Before graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Teipai National University of the Arts in 2018, Hao-Yan successfully passed the audition and secured a contract as a low horn player with the Nation Symphony Orchestra in 2017.
During his time at the National Symphony Orchestra, he participated in many significant performances with renowned conductors, including Jun Markl, Shao-Chia Lu, Gunther Herbig, Joe Hisaishi, Wen-Pin Chien, Jorg Widmann, Tung-Chieh Chuang, and Long Yu.
His performance journey extended beyond the National Symphony Orchestra to other professional orchestras, including the Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra, Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and Taipei Philharmonic. His performances have been showcased across Taiwan and even in Korea.
As a French horn teacher, Joshua taught at Kang Chiao International Senior High School (Primary Section) and was a contract teacher at many primary and senior high schools.
The Piano teacher and player:
Joshua ,who has sufficient experience as a piano teacher, studied piano performance as his minor at the Taipei National University of the Arts with professors Chia-Chi Hsu and Fan-Chiang Yi. He taught at the Yamaha Musci Centre, where he nurtured many students and allowed them to pursue their musical dreams. Through his patience and enthusiasm, Joshua was dedicated to leading his students to explore more possibilities in music and to enjoy it.
Work Experience:
February 2016 to July 2017: Taught at Yamaha Music Centre as a piano teacher.
December 2017 to July 2020: Worked in the National Symphony Orchestra as a French horn player.
2020 to present: Private piano teacher and a freelancer participating in numerous performances with professional symphony orchestras.
July 2022 to present: Teaching at Kang Chiao International Senior High School (Primary Section), teaching music and the French horn.

September 2013 to January 2018: Bachelor of music and performance from the Taipei National University of the Arts.
September 2018 to January 2021: Master’s in music and performance from the Taipei National University of the Arts.
